Brand New Family Sessions at Gateshead

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our family cricket sessions in Team Valley, Gateshead, made possible through the generous funding from Gateshead Council. This marks our first-ever collaboration with Gateshead Council, and we see it as the beginning of an exciting and long-term partnership to promote inclusive, community-driven cricket in the area.

At Cricketqube, our mission has always been to make cricket accessible to families, children, older adults, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. These free sessions aim to unite families, encourage physical activity, and create a welcoming space where everyone, regardless of age, skill level, or background, can enjoy the sport.

A Strong Start and a Growing Community

We started our sessions last week with families from Gateshead coming together to play, learn, and have fun. Parents and children joined in, showing how sport can unite people across generations. We have seen great enthusiasm from the local community and are excited to keep building on this momentum. We will work with local schools to engage with the local communities.

This initiative is more than just cricket—it’s about community, well-being, and strengthening social ties. Through these sessions, we aim to support families in Gateshead by providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment where they can bond over sport. The overwhelmingly positive response from our Family Cricket sessions across the North East already reinforces the importance of such initiatives, and we’re eager to expand our reach further.

Their support has allowed us to extend our inclusive cricket programmes to a new audience, and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure this initiative continues to grow and evolve.
